Now that itโs February and all that โnew year new meโ palaver has died down, letโs talk about ways to actually WIN Health & Fitness in 2023 and achieve your goals for a lifetime. โฃ
Here are our 5-steps:โฃ

1 - ๐๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ก ๐๐ง๐ง๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐กโฃ
If youโre going to truly succeed, you need an attack plan. Whether itโs for fitness, health, work/life balanceโฆmost people fail to reach their goals because they don't have a plan.โฃ But if a full year plan is too difficult to stay accountable for, break it down into quarterly segments i.e. ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ รท ๐บ โฃ
If it's a 40lb weight loss goal, that's 10lbs per quarter. If it is to increase your squat strength at the gym by 20kg, that's 5kg per quarter.โฃ You get the point.โฃ
But make sure your goals are realistic. Set small targets. Complete those. Move on to the next goal. โฃ

2 - ๐ฃ๐จ๐ง ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐งโฃ
the decision to put yourself first and go ALL IN on YOU might sound a little cold but if you donโt choose yourself, you LIVE for other people.โฃ
You go through your day, to compliment theirs.โฃ
You stress yourself out, over their stressful situations.โฃ
You attract negativity, because of their negative mindset.โฃ We do this far too often. โฃ
You donโt reach your nutrition or fitness goals because you put yourself AFTER everyone else.โฃ
Iโm sure in the last year, there have been at least a handful of situations where you didn't reach your goals because you put yourself AFTER everyone else. โฃRight? โฃ
So, this year, STOP PUTTING YOURSELF LAST.โฃ

Accountability is the glue. It's what holds the attack plan together. It's just a simple requirement for success and it's the most powerful fuel to ensure the work gets done.โฃ

4 - ๐๐ข๐ก๐ฆ๐๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ก๐๐ฌ ๐ข๐ฉ๐๐ฅ ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐กโฃ
When it comes to fitness, you canโt rely on motivation alone Iโm afraid. You have to find a form of exercise that works for you, be consistent with it and make it part of your daily habits/routine. โฃ
There will be days/weeks where progress will stagnate, or you just donโt feel motivated, which may cause you to backtrack a bit but if you stay consistent, you will get closer to your goals. Consistency is key! โฃ

Staying fit and healthy is a life long journey - not a race. This year, focus on realistic โwellnessโ goals for you, that create the foundation for a lifetime. Donโt compare your journey and progress to someone else.
