Now that itโ€™s February and all that โ€œnew year new meโ€ palaver has died down, letโ€™s talk about ways to actually WIN Health & Fitness in 2023 and achieve your goals for a lifetime. โฃ
Here are our 5-steps:โฃ

1 - ๐—›๐—”๐—ฉ๐—˜ ๐—”๐—ก ๐—”๐—ง๐—ง๐—”๐—–๐—ž ๐—ฃ๐—Ÿ๐—”๐—กโฃ
If youโ€™re going to truly succeed, you need an attack plan. Whether itโ€™s for fitness, health, work/life balanceโ€ฆmost people fail to reach their goals because they don't have a plan.โฃ But if a full year plan is too difficult to stay accountable for, break it down into quarterly segments i.e. ๐˜‰๐˜๐˜Ž ๐˜Ž๐˜–๐˜ˆ๐˜“ รท ๐Ÿบ โฃ
If it's a 40lb weight loss goal, that's 10lbs per quarter. If it is to increase your squat strength at the gym by 20kg, that's 5kg per quarter.โฃ You get the point.โฃ
But make sure your goals are realistic. Set small targets. Complete those. Move on to the next goal. โฃ

the decision to put yourself first and go ALL IN on YOU might sound a little cold but if you donโ€™t choose yourself, you LIVE for other people.โฃ
You go through your day, to compliment theirs.โฃ
You stress yourself out, over their stressful situations.โฃ
You attract negativity, because of their negative mindset.โฃ We do this far too often. โฃ
You donโ€™t reach your nutrition or fitness goals because you put yourself AFTER everyone else.โฃ
Iโ€™m sure in the last year, there have been at least a handful of situations where you didn't reach your goals because you put yourself AFTER everyone else. โฃRight? โฃ
So, this year, STOP PUTTING YOURSELF LAST.โฃ

When it comes to fitness, you canโ€™t rely on motivation alone Iโ€™m afraid. You have to find a form of exercise that works for you, be consistent with it and make it part of your daily habits/routine. โฃ
There will be days/weeks where progress will stagnate, or you just donโ€™t feel motivated, which may cause you to backtrack a bit but if you stay consistent, you will get closer to your goals. Consistency is key! โฃ

Staying fit and healthy is a life long journey - not a race. This year, focus on realistic โ€œwellnessโ€ goals for you, that create the foundation for a lifetime. Donโ€™t compare your journey and progress to someone else.
